Wet air vulcanized sealant: This type of sealant series uses moisture in the air for vulcanization. It mainly includes single component polyurethane, silicone rubber, and polysulfide rubber. The polymer matrix contains active genes. It can react with water in the air to form cross-linked bonds, causing the sealant to sulfur into a network structure. Moisture in the atmosphere serves as a catalyst in the sulfurization reaction. Chemical vulcanized sealant: Two component polyurethane, silicone rubber, polysulfide rubber, chloroprene rubber, and epoxy resin sealant belong to this category and are generally vulcanized at room temperature. Some single component chlorosulfonated polyethylene and chloroprene rubber sealants, as well as polyvinyl chloride sol paste sealants, such as spot welding adhesives for automobiles, must undergo chemical reaction to complete vulcanization under added conditions.
Thermal transformation sealant: PVC resin dispersed with plasticizers and rubber containing asphalt are two different types of thermal transformation systems used together. Vinyl resin plasticizers are liquid suspensions that harden by heating to a solid at room temperature, while rubber asphalt and sealant are hot melt. Oxidative Hardening Sealant: Sealants with dry surfaces for caulking or installation of glass are mainly based on dry and semi dry vegetable oils. The middle class oil can be refined, polymerized, blown, or chemically modified. Using cobalt naphthenate as a drying agent to accelerate surface drying while not hardening internally, lead naphthenate can harden both the surface and interior, while manganese naphthenate makes internal hardening more effective. Solvent volatile solidification sealant: This is a sealant based on a non adhesive high polymer after solvent evaporation. This type of sealant mainly includes butyl cross-linking, high molecular weight polyisobutylene, acrylic ester with a certain degree of polymerization, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, and chloroprene rubber sealants. Non drying can permanently plastic sealants: This type of sealant usually includes sealants based on polybutene, medium molecular weight polyisobutylene, high viscosity non oxidizing adhesives such as styrene based oil, non drying vegetable oil, blown semi dry oil, or butyl rubber.
